RV Care Helps Haiti Relief - May 10, 2010
When news came out about the devastating earthquake that hit the tiny nation of Haiti earlier this year everyone began thinking of how they could help. The people who make up the RV Care Network were no different. Ideas quickly grew into plans and the commitment was received from a number of RV Care dealers, along with partner Coast Distribution, to provide portable generators that could help the people of Haiti in the long rebuilding process.

This past month RV Care provided more than 50 portable generators, worth over $ 80,000, to a missionary aid organization based out of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The generators are now on their way to Haiti, along with other important supplies collected by the aid group, to be used by people in Haiti to help the locals rebuild their homes and lives. “Working together as a group, along with our partner, Coast Distribution, it was possible for us to significantly increase the number of generators we could contribute to the cause” said Earl Manning, Vice President of the RV Care Network.

RV Care is a network of 49 independent RV dealers across Canada who work together to provide service and support for their customers when they travel (www.rvcare.ca). Helping the people of Haiti is something everyone wanted to do - in addition to what each dealership has done independent of the group.

Québec: Camping Belle-Vue goes green, and blue! - Jan 20, 2010
Camping Belle-Vue has added over 20 new rustic sites in a newly developed and secluded wooded area – great for cyclists traveling along the scenic road between Montréal and Quebec City, as well as kayakers traveling along the new St. Lawrence River’s “Blue Highway” (La Route bleue). Camping Belle-Vue was recently awarded no less than 3 Excellence Awards by Camping Québec, Québec’s campgrounds association. Camping Belle-Vue earned these distinctions for the quality of its marketing, business management and overall fantastic development over the last 3 years. This coming spring, they will be adding 6 brand new trailers to a float of 20 on-site rentals, great for campers who don’t own a RV or who are just new to the camping experience. They’ve also developed a partnership with a neighboring horse ranch to offer sleigh rides for both campers and visitors. Skytrek Adventure park offers New Thrills  - Jan 13, 2010
There's more excitement at The Enchanted Forest/Skytrek Adventure Park this year with the completion of the new Jungle Gym and Adventure Tower. The Jungle Gym offers the ultimate climbing adventure for your little one! Climb through the colorful giant spider net, limbo under flying bats or zoom down a zipline! No harness or helmets are necessary as all games and activities are surrounded by safety nets… a fun little fall and a roll to the middle and they can climb right back up!

British Columbia Good Sam RV Club
The Okanagan has been chosen for the 2010 Good Sam RV Club Samboree which will be held in Armstrong on June 23 -26 2010. Planning has already begun and we are looking for sponsors to help make the 2010 RV Samboree a huge success. The four Okanagan Good Sam chapters will be the hosts and will be approaching local businesses to sponsor the event through advertising in our RV Samboree program and/or to donate items for door prizes. It is projected that we will have 300 - 400 people attending and we would appreciate any support you can give.

The BC Good Sam Club is the largest RV Club in British Columbia with 21 chapters located throughout BC. While enjoying the fun and fellowship of other RVer’s, many of our chapter members do community service and participate in local civic events and fundraisers. Our main charity is PADS (Pacific Assistance Dogs). We have raised over $4500 in 2009 for Pads. Every year we hold a Samboree in a Community located in BC. This attracts RVer’s from BC, across western Canada and the US Pacific northwest. In 2009 it was held in Midway BC with 152 RV rigs (approximately 320 people) attending. We had 4 days of good weather and toured the area and the shops and restaurants of Midway, Rock Creek & Greenville.. We were well received by the Merchants and Residents in the area and they made our stay a very pleasant one. An innovative new leveler is fast becoming a hit among RV enthusiasts and retailers, alike. The RV Leveler, developed for CIPA by new product development firm Davison, provides an efficient and time-saving way to accurately level a recreational vehicle, as well as a boat trailer, deck or even a tree house. The two-piece system eliminates all the back-and-forth and guesswork of a standard leveler.

The RV Leveler’s base communicates wirelessly via radio frequency with a corresponding handheld device that operates up to 100 feet away. The four-light LED display on both units enables the user to see immediately where adjustments are needed; green LEDs show where an RV is level and the red LEDs show where it is not. The RV Leveler has been “a top seller” at Cabela’s, a specialty retailer of outdoor recreation merchandise. It was also featured in the 2009 Buyer’s Guide of RV Lifestyle, which stated: “Our road test teams are going wild over the RV Leveler … It’s simple, affordable, and it works like a charm.”
