Twin Lakes Golf & RV Has Free Youth Golf
Every year Twin Lakes Golf Course holds a 5 week Junior Program and children 5 and older are invited to participate “We have an amazing program that allows children as young as 5 to come out and have fun while learning proper golf etiquette and golf techniques” said Kate Swanson. “We provide the young ones with basic skills that allow them to grow their game while fine tuning our senior juniors game so that they can achieve their ultimate round.”
“We had 40 Juniors participate in the program this 2010 Season. The numbers keep growing! We want to introduce golf to young golfers and provide them with a strong beginning, says Greg Pidlaski CPGA Pro. Our Juniors are the best! They show up rain or shine and are always excited for the next lesson. I am amazed at the ability of some of these young golfers. I enjoy seeing the growth over the 5 weeks and over the season. We have introduced a new program at the course this year that allows our juniors to become members at no charge if they write a letter explaining exactly why they want to golf at Twin lakes Golf Course. Sorry parents you still have to pay, but with no initiation fee Twin Lakes membership is a great value!
Twin Lakes believes that by offering a fun yet educational program that teaches children respect for the course and respect for the game will help keep the game of golf growing in the Okanagan. It’s all about learning the basics, and having fun while doing it.
